The Miles - Getting to know him.

A different kind of favourite

There are some jeans you reach for without thinking. And then there are some that make you pause slightly the first time you put them on.

The Miles sits in that second category.

Not because it’s difficult, but because it’s different. A little more room, a little more presence. Since launch, it’s been one of the most talked about fits. Not always the immediate choice, but often the one people come back to.

The Shape

The Miles is a high rise, wide leg.

There’s more room through the top half, sitting higher on the waist and falling into a fuller leg that holds its shape. The intention wasn’t to create something oversized or exaggerated, but to introduce a shape that feels balanced. Generous, but still considered.

It carries structure when new. That’s important. The fabric gives it shape, allowing the leg to fall cleanly rather than collapse. Over time, that structure softens, and the jean becomes something more personal. Less about the initial silhouette, more about how it moves with you.

As Jim Chapman put it:
“I love the fit.”

Simple, but it says enough.

Who It’s For

The Miles is for someone ready for a bit more space. If you’ve worn slimmer fits for years and are looking for something that feels easier, without losing shape, this is where it starts.

It’s also for those who already know. Who prefer a higher rise, a wider leg, and the comfort that comes with it.

It’s our widest leg, but that doesn’t mean it only does one thing.

The higher rise allows it to sit cleanly on the waist, giving it a more considered, put-together feel when you want it. At the same time, the extra room through the leg brings an ease that makes it just as right for more relaxed days.

It’s that balance that makes it work. A shape that can shift depending on how you wear it.

When to Wear The Miles

It works on the days you want ease, and also works when you want to feel more put together. Worn simply with a tee, it feels relaxed, paired with something sharper, it holds its own.

That’s where it seems to be finding its place. Not as a statement piece, but as something that quietly shifts how the rest of your wardrobe works.

Hotneul, a denim lover, described it like this:
“My first experience with Hiut… they match my current style perfectly. Denim I keep reaching for.”

That sense of familiarity is important. Even with a new shape, it still needs to feel like something you can live in.

Why It Works

After years of slimmer fits, there’s a natural shift happening.

More room, more comfort, but still with shape.

This was our way of approaching that, responding to how people actually want to wear their clothes now. More space through the leg, a rise that sits properly on the waist, a shape that holds, then softens over time.
