The Core Fits

After refining the patterns behind our men’s collection, three core silhouettes now sit at the centre of the range.
For those who have worn our jeans for years, these will feel familiar.
They build on what came before. The Morgans, the V-Fit, and the Work jean have been carefully reworked to improve how they sit, move and feel in everyday wear.
For those new to Hiut, they offer three clear ways to approach fit.
The Miles
High rise, wide leg
Replaces the Morgan
The Miles is our most relaxed silhouette.
Cut with a higher rise and a wide leg, it falls cleanly from the hip with a generous opening at the hem. The shape is designed to hold its structure when new, then soften gradually with wear.
Compared to the Morgan, the balance has been adjusted. A slightly higher rise and more space through the leg, giving a cleaner line from hip to hem.
The result is a wide fit that feels more considered in proportion, while keeping the ease that made the original work.
The Benjamin
Mid rise, gentle taper
Replaces the V-Fit
The Benjamin builds on the idea of a tapered jean, with more room through the thigh and a softer taper towards the hem.
It keeps the versatility of the V-Fit, but refines the balance, allowing the leg to feel fuller where it needs to, while still sitting neatly on a range of footwear.
The rise has been adjusted slightly, and the overall shape recalibrated so it feels more natural in movement.
A fit designed to sit comfortably between relaxed and slim.
The Jerald
High rise, straight leg
Replaces the Work jean
The Jerald is the most classic of the three.
A full, straight leg from hip to hem, designed to sit comfortably at the waist and work across different settings, from everyday wear to something more dressed.
Compared to the Work jean, the changes are subtle. A slightly higher rise, and a little more ease through the pocket openings to make them feel more natural in use.
The intention wasn’t to change the character, but to refine it — so it feels more resolved in everyday wear.
Three Core Fits
Each silhouette begins with the same intention: balance.
How the rise sits on the body.
How the leg falls from hip to hem.
How the shape holds and softens with wear.
Three fits, shaped through the same process. Pattern refinement, wear, and time spent listening.
They join the range this April.

All three new designs are noted as High Rise, I thought such styles/fit went out of fashion with Cuban Heels. Certainly not for me.If they actually replaced existing Styles, then I will have to shop elsewhere.

I am very happy with a higher rise choice… great idea

Disappointed by these fits NGL.
I like a relaxed taper fit but prefer a stronger taper than we’re looking at here.
Maybe I’m out of touch, but I won’t be continuing my long standing relationship with Hiut if these are the only available choices, and that’s a shame.

Do these replace existing styles or are they additional? If they’re all that’s available not sure that’s a great move. Feared this might happen with the ownership change.

Frankly they look appalling, sacrificing style for fashion.

Generally look good but not best photos. The tapered leg folks are talking about never looks so good, rather just looks like skinny legs with a low rise that looks far more awful than folks think. You can spot them out and about in any town and it always looks sloppy. These cuts could improve that, particularly the straight leg but there should not be bunching at the bottom, rather it should sit cleanly with a very small single cuff. Better hemming and styling and these will look classic and more mature than the low rise, sloppy style of the past.

I like the look of the Benjamin so will be ordering when they are available

Initial feeling is disappointment. Worn hiut for years, own 5 pairs and none of these look familiar or look appealing. If these are the only options to choose from I cant imagine buying another pair. I didn’t think I would feel so sad about jeans!!!
John K
These look great! I’m so glad that we are getting higher rise Jeans.
James
Wow, these certainly look different. Very curious to try these out. Will be getting a Jerald
Jack
The Miles looks great. Can’t wait to get a pair.

Does that mean the Hackr is dead? If so, I’m going to have to find a new place to shop, sadly.
Dewi
These fits all look very similar on body. The v fit is the best fitting pair of jeans I’ve bought and replacing them will be a deal breaker for me.

I’m saddened by the change to high rise. The Work was my go to fit but there is nothing for me in these new styles. Farewells Hiut from me at least.
Roman
They are all looking really great. Love the high rise.
I’d love it if you were to put the thigh measurement on the product page cause that’s mostly my personal problem area and that way I could easily see if they fit me and I think many others would benefit from that as well :)

Was very honoured to be sent a sample of Benjamin’s for feedback. They fit beautifully. I usually wear the Slim R. The Benjamin’s still flatter in the right places, but they are a bit more relaxed and comfortable. Can’t wait to order some more in different denims. Thank-you!
RL
Ugh no, ugly shapes. Not for me, sorry.
David R
Dreadful styling. Why dress team them up with the same shirt in each style. How about a sweater?

The V-fit is my go to Jean, can I pop in to the factory to try on the Benjamin to compare once made?
Ian T
I echo many of these comments. I’m a long term customer but don’t understand the increased rise. I’ll try the new styles out but am not optimistic. I am a hack wearer.
David Donnan
Seriously? These are terrible. I’ve been wearing your jeans since pair 37, I must own at least 10 pairs. I hope these work for you but they certainly don’t work for me.
Also, ‘Jerald’ is it april 1st ?
Nick Jackson
Does that mean no more slim fit? I always buy Slimr and would miss this in the range
Richard T
Does this mean that the Hack won’t be available any more? It’s my go-to for jeans. None of the others work for me, so if it’s no longer going to be available, I won’t be able to be a Hiut customer any longer.
Will
I’m a slim R fan – this is a bold step to echo the ‘good ol days’ of Kid Creole and his coconuts.
So long as there are Hiut originals as well, sales numbers will be the proof

If it aint broke…why fix it? But nothing stays the same so happy to wait and see. The pictures are horrible though…who would wear black flat/formal shoes with any jeans? And that shirt? Is Jeremy Clarkson your new model?
Ross Evans
Not a fan of any of these. I really don’t like high rise jeans. I have been buying hackr jeans for years from you and have bought in excess of 12 pairs over the years. Please tell me the hackr jeans are not going to be discontinued…
