The fit
Less full than our classic straight, The Gwylim is cut narrower through the leg, tapering slightly from knee to hem whilst keeping the feeling of a straight leg.
The Gwilym is the updated The Hack@.
Robert is 187cm tall and is wearing a 32/32.
The denim
Woven at Kuroki Denim Mill in Japan, this raw denim has a substantial 14.5oz weight, giving it structure and a durable hand while still moving naturally with the body.
The signature red line selvedge develops character over time, subtly fading and softening with wear. The deep indigo carries a hint of red undertone, adding depth and nuance to the fabric.
As this is raw denim, 1 inch has been added to the leg length to allow for shrinkage. A 32 leg will measure 33 inches before wash.
The details
Authentic five-pocket jean.
Button fly.
Copper rivets. Highlight - our signature red owl rivet on the left back pocket.
100% cotton, ecru twill front and back pocket linings.
Hiut Denim branded leather patch (vegan option available on request – email hi@hiutdenim.co.uk).

Our Factory in Aberteifi
Hiut is a family-owned brand with its own factory in Aberteifi, Wales, carrying forward a local tradition of denim making. When production left the town in 2002, the jobs went but the skill remained. Founded in 2011, we put that knowledge back to work, cutting and sewing every pair by hand while a new generation learns the craft.

Free Repairs for Life
Every pair of Hiuts comes with Free Repairs for Life. When they need attention, they can return to the factory to be repaired by skilled hands. Repair is part of the making. It keeps a pair in use, respects the work already inside it, and allows the wearer to carry on with something that has become their own.
